OPEN RECORDS
Finally on April 23, 2014 the Manitoba Government had 1st of 3 readings of Act 59 The Adoption Amendment and Vital Statistics Amendment Act (opening birth and adoption records). This is excellent news! What a victory! On behalf of all of the adoptees out here, thank you for all your time and effort. You are truly a hero and a voice for so many.
Once the law is actually passed and in place, do you know what I need to do to obtain my records? I am already registered with the post adoption registry from doing a search for my bio mother almost 17 years ago.
